Paradox and the fullness of life

A.

What does it mean
To live a full life?
It is something more easily felt
Than explained

In some ways my life has been
Reckless
Strange
Aimless
Misguided
Rebellious
Sinful

Yet it is nevertheless a life of
Discipline
Self-control
Drivenness
Conviction
Loyalty
Routine
Purity

And I suspect that only in the fullness of these paradoxical traits
Is the knowledge of a life
Fully lived

B.

We are a little bit
Like water.
A small portion, mixed with soap
can cleanse
And a small portion, with electricity,
Can kill.
With great pressure
It can restore old to new
And with great pressure
It can devastate a community.

Who are we to label something
Someone
As good or bad?
When in fact all we mean
Is that it
They
Are good or bad for
Our own personal benefit.
