On letting go

Sometimes
When shopping for clothes,
I find something I like
Maybe love
And I try it on
And I see that it is beautiful
Maybe even perfect
But I cannot justify
The expense.
So I carry it around
In the store
And for a short time
It is mine
Until I gently place it back
On the rack –
Hoping someone else
Will love it too
